The Kia Medium Tactical Vehicle (KMTV), developed through five years of dedicated R&D, marks a significant advancement in modern military logistics. KMTV Development Concept
KMTV is a next-generation tactical vehicle at the global level, which was developed by applying the military requirement specifications and optimized specifications for its use, that will replace the deteriorated current 2½ton and 5ton vehicles. AWD feature (4X4, 6X6) with an additional AWS system (All Wheel Steering) to improve the turning mobility in harsh and narrow combat situations and a vehicle height controlling device are additionally installed to improve the convenience when getting on/off the vehicle and loading/unloading cargos. KMTV is available in the new 2½ton Cargo Truck (4X4) and new 5ton Cargo Truck (6X6), which are optimized for troop/supply transport through increased field load weight and twice the paved road loading capacity than the current models, as well as the 5ton Bulletproof Truck (6X6) with detachable bulletproof material for the vehicle body and structure that allows easy weapon installation.

Unstoppable Mobility
Part-time AWD system demonstrates the optimum driving performance on mountain slopes and narrow roads, and the 4-channel ABS brings braking safety. In addition, CTIS (central tire inflation system) can be used on sand or soft ground for easy escape, and run flat tires enable the vehicle to drive 48km at 48km speed even after tire damage. When you want to drive, when you want to stop, nothing can stop you.
