[ KLTV - Armored reconnaissance vehicle ]

Kia’s Light Tactical Vehicle (KLTV) is the Korean Armed Forces’ first-ever multi purpose tactical vehicle, developed with a modular system that enables various versions including standard and long-wheel base along with armored and unarmored features.

 Production of KLTV will begin in June 2016, with wide range of versions for tactical commanding & reconnaissance, weapon installment, field supports, etc.

Armored reconnaissance vehicle has been developed with an enhanced protection system that satisfies customer’s requested STANAG level and boasts much stronger competitiveness in mobility, protection and price among competitors under 7-ton gross weight vehicles. 

 

[ KLTV - Cargo truck ]

Kia’s Light Tactical Cargo Truck (4 persons) is an unarmored long wheel based vehicle   providing various add-on superstructure including cargo box, workshop and communication vans, etc.

It carries 10 fully-armed soldiers in the rear troop seats and loads up to 3 tons of cargo on off-road, boasting optimal competitiveness in mobility, durability and price among competitors under 7-ton gross weight vehicles.

Its key feature includes cutting-edge technology and military purpose specifications such as Euro 5 diesel engine with 225 horse power,  8 speed automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive gear box, independent suspension, air conditioning, no spin differential, run-flat tire and electro-magnetic interference.
